Peach Heath
Lissanthe strigosa subsp. subulata

Peach Heath is an erect, suckering low-growing shrub to about 50cm in height. Along the Jan Juc Coastline it can be found in Coastal Heathland toward Bells but is more common near Southside on sites supporting Dry Forest and Woodland.
Leaves are narrow-lanceolate tapering into a long fine point; prickly, dark green above paler below with margins recurved.
Flowering is predominantly late winter and spring but flowers can still appear in summer.
Flowers are urn shaped, scented; generally white and pink although pure white is also possible.
The species name strigosa means 'short, bristle-like hairs' referring to the hairs inside the upper half of the tubular flower.
